Do I need Search Engine Optimization?


If you need customers, then you need Search Engine Optimization. Today, your potential customers are using the Internet to find the products and services that they need. According to Internet World Stats, 77.4% of North America uses the Internet. Google's data source, World Bank, World Development Indicators, as of 2008 places Internet usage in the United States at 75.9%.

So thus the question, if a customer is looking for a product or service that your business sells; and they type keywords into a Search Engine such as Google, Yahoo or Bing, will your company be listed on the first page? If not, then a competitor just made a sale.

Do I need Search Engine Marketing?

What is a Search Engine and how does it work?


A Search Engine is a set of programs that work as a team to search the World Wide Web (WWW) for website pages and/or documents based on specific keywords (query). A search engine works by sending out a Crawler (Spider, Robot, Bot) to find as many pages as possible. Another program, called an Indexer, then reads the pages and creates a Database (Index) based on the words contained in each page. Each search engine uses an Algorithm to determine relevancy. Pages that best represent the query are listed. The results you see on your computer monitor are called Search Engine Result Page's (SERP's).
